Privacy

The short version

BoxThatFits is a static website. It has no accounts, no forms that send data to us, and no server that records what you type. The dimensions you enter into the calculator are processed in your browser and never leave your device.

What is stored in your browser

We use your browser's local storage for three things:

• Theme: whether you chose light or dark mode.
• Favourites: the ids of boxes you have hearted.
• Cookie choice: whether you accepted or declined analytics.

These stay on your device and are never transmitted. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Analytics and cookies

If you accept in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and to see which buy links are clicked. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to tell visits apart; they can last up to two years. We do not send it your name, email or anything you type into the calculator. Google's own use of the data is described in Google's privacy policy .

If you decline, nothing from Google is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Retailer links

Buy buttons take you to a retailer's website. Once there, that retailer's own privacy policy applies, and it may set cookies to attribute your purchase to us. See our affiliate disclosure.
